Estonia: 2k people made themselves blacklisted from casinos
Estonian Tax and Customs Department released data on the number of citizens who restricted their own access to gambling in the first half of 2016. According to the department, to the list of restricted citizens were entered 2060 names, including:
- 1254 bans on visiting casinos;
- 512 bans on participation in the totalizators;
- 294 bans on participation in the lotteries.
As on July, 1, 2016 the list includes 4506 citizens of Estonia, who are prohibited from gambling. The ban gambling and visits to gambling establishments is part of the social responsibility program.
It is worth mentioning, that this year the government of Estonia has amended the gambling law. These amendments allow players who have addiction, include themselves in the list of persons prohibited from gambling.
