Brazilian government moved online gambling law enactment to August
Fernando Bezerra Coelho, the representative of the Socialist Party of Brazil, made a proposal to postpone the vote on the draft law on the online gambling regulation. The reason for changing the date of the vote is due to the fact that its needs revisions.
The representative of the Socialist Party of Brazil suggested to postpone the vote on the draft law to the end of August. In return, the author of the bill on the regulation of online gambling in the country, Ciro Nogueira, representative of the Progressive Party, has offered to provide Coelho revised draft law by the end of July, so legislators could examine it in the first weeks of August.
Earlier, CEDN – Special Committee on National Development decided to adopt the amendments to the bill on the regulation of the online bookmakers. Also, the document suggests the existence of a lottery terminals, online casino and bingo.
