Philippines: president wants to cancel online gambling licenses

At the first meeting of the Cabinet of Philippines the newly elected president Rodrigo Duterte made a surprise announcement regarding online gambling, he intends to revoke the licenses of gambling business companies.

Nowadays, despite the licenses there are difficulties regarding tax payments from online gambling companies. I intend to ask PAGCOR to withhold issue of licenses for online companies,

The regulator of the gambling industry of the Philippines (Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corp, PAGCOR) exercises control over the activities of the operators that organize and conduct gambling in the country.

Earlier, the President of the Philippines Rodrigo Rodrigo Duterte has appointed Andrea Domingo as a head of the regulator of the gambling industry, who used to be head of the Bureau of immigration.
